Continue reading →. As far as development goes, it is all over the place and there isn’t really much of it in terms for growth for the characters because frankly, they are quite one dimensional.

I don’t know whether to blame the storyline of the characters themselves (honestly, the actors are doing a descent job portraying their role) but somehow everything seems so gloom and stuck in a hole, because you know, Shan Shan is a creep trying to get revenge, Ji Qing is a woman who has found her love, Hao Ming is a man who will do anything for Ji Qing and Yi Ren and Sheng Hua are having a stable relationship. Their relationship has to head through a big hurdle and a large puddle to give it a push and create something that it is much more interesting than what it currently is. I got nominated for the Liebster Award for the second time around!

Previously I though Shan Shan was creepy but now we finally get to know the real reason behind her creepy-ness, or at least that is what it appears to be. As much as I want to fall in love with this drama, there is something that just constantly get on my nerves and that is unsynchronisation (yeahh, I’m making up words) which this ep is another prime example of, clearly evident falling from the back of ep 3. I think the only things that I am loving about this drama is the character of Shan Shan, Yi Ren and Mummy Wang’s relationship and Hao Ming and Ji Qing’s progressive relationship. I love the character of Shan Shan; it is really cleverly written.

Something just evolves with her through each and every ep. It is Shan Shan who is the main drive of the rough storyline. I want to love this drama but no matter how hard I try I just can’t.
