Reason: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. Overall, pretty annoying because it happens a lot. Right now, I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but when I disabled Anonymous mode and Local Peer Discovery my stalled torrents started to run again. It happened as soon as the initially cached downloaded data was attempted written to disk. Try enabling DHT + PEX in the settings & adding more trackers to the torrents in question. (fast resume) Maybe, just maybe, the problem is the client doesn't allocate the file's space on the disk and other apps uses the space, and this causes IO problems, and the client can't really do anything. This also doesn't seem to be an issue with qBittorrent and this issue should be closed IMO. Go to our forum and describe what is your settings and what you are seeing in the log. For example, if you are seeding but there simply are no peers requesting the files, the torrent will be "stalled" (more specifically in this case, in the "stalled uploading" state).
"Stalled" means no upload/download activity is happening at the moment. Found out that the entire process was being blocked by BitDefender's Ransomware protection. It is neither a "good" nor "bad" thing on its own. Had the same problem (v3.2.3) - solved by disabling OS Cache in advance settings.
usually I am getting single-torrent download speed of 60-70 MBps, which probably is capped by HDD transfer capabilities. After deleting torrent, reloading, restarting, chose the built in drive, it worked like a charm. 2TB eSATA external storage. I have gone as low as allowing only 2 torrents to download at the same time, which maked Qbittorrent set all but 2 torrents as "Queued" but the two remaining ones are... yes, you guessed right: "Stalled". Fingers crossed! To upgrade your driver, if it's onboard network, you'll need the motherboard model, easiest way is on the receipt for your computer, or motherboard box but if youre like me, I had to pop the case open and read it off the board. I changed the incomplete torrent folder to a new one on a SSD drive, the finished .torrent files to a very accessible USB directory, and a new fresh default save path folder, on an attached USB directory. I re-read your first post. 8GB RAM The bug has existed for years and has never been fixed (not for lack of trying). Sign in I saw huge amounts of reading data, looks like it's a process hook which reads stuff over and over from somewhere. If not, disable it and try again. The ports are open, while the connection is a 100/100 Mbps due to router it is limited to 56/56 Mbps. "Stalled" is just a more specific error message for when you're downloading a torrent but there are no available seeds. This is an issue with qBittorrent. Strange. A lot of motherboards have two different controllers hooked up to different sata ports.
