One day the balloon breaks loose and just floats away in the sky, and the boy is HEARTBROKEN. In response the balloon man grabs a string at random and hands Joey a yellow balloon. I understood the analogy being attempted, but I couldn't quite buy into it because I couldn't understand how a boy would become so overly attached to a balloon, so that's where my struggle came in.
